Hanson has been a dedicated yoga practitioner and enthusiast since childhood, evolving into a dynamic, motivating, and passionate Yoga Acharya (Teacher). Specializing in Shastanga and Kriya Yoga—some of the earliest and most authentic forms of yoga—he is also a certified instructor in Pole Yoga and Rope Yoga, blending traditional wisdom with innovative techniques.
His journey began at the age of 10 with pranayama, where he discovered a deep, enduring love for yoga. Over the years, he has explored and mastered various pranayama techniques alongside traditional asanas. His profound expertise in breathwork enables his students to effectively manage stress, emotions, and health conditions such as sleep apnea, insomnia, depression, anxiety, and anger.
With a background in nursing, specializing in cardiovascular, respiratory, and neurological care, Hanson integrates evidence-based Western medicine with ancient Vedic practices. This unique fusion allows him to design specialized wellness programs that foster physical, mental, and emotional healing in the most efficient and safe manner.
Before dedicating himself fully to yoga, Hanson served as a Nursing Administrator, Trainer, and Educator in prominent healthcare institutions. As an Associate Lecturer at Curtin University and a founding administrator of Ng Teng Fong General Hospital, he honed his leadership, communication, and operational skills in healthcare management.
Today, he combines his medical knowledge, yogic wisdom, and teaching excellence to guide individuals toward holistic well-being, helping them achieve breakthroughs in health and mindfulness through a balanced East-West approach.
